Consultant at TWI
Chris is responsible for helping solve some of the problems TWI’s Industrial Members face with exploiting the benefits of composite materials, using his experience and expertise to deliver composites joining, manufacture, processing and testing projects. Since the inauguration of the Non-metallic Innovation Centre (NIC) in 2019, Chris has been instrumental in providing non-metallic solutions for the oil and gas industry, and has played a key role in understanding the mechanical performance of non-metallic pipes, and developing innovative joining methods. Chris holds a PhD in the field of impact of composite sandwich structures in addition to a BSc in metallurgy and materials science, and was a researcher in the Marinetech NW consortium, developing cost-effective composites for the oil and gas industry.
